Following the success of our spotlight issues of the EP Europace Journal on Electrophysiology and cardiac device therapy: why and how to approach health economics? EHRA organised a policy conference on cost and reimbursement of CRM devices and their follow-up in Europe on the 13th of December 2011.

The policy conference involved health economists, policy makers, cardiologists and electrophysiologists and addressed the issues of evaluation, validation coverage, funding, and reimbursement of current and emerging technology in medicine and, more specifically, in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.

The event will take place during the ICPES Congress in Athens and will be chaired as follows:
